When using existing curbs--we need the measurement to make the inside of the frame that is big enough to fit over your curb, all roof work and flashing, plus 3/8" - 1/2" more for flashing clearance / ease of installation.

Curb mount skylights can be manufactured with or without curbs. More often than not--people are able to re-use their existing curbs and only need the skylight portion of the configuration. We also recommend changing an older-style "wrap around" dome to a curb mount skylight.
